Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies only to the image2pixel.com website and the tools hosted on it (Pixel Art Maker, Spritesheet Generator, WebP to PNG Converter, 9-Grid Collage/Crop, Image Resize, style filters, and the blog). It does not cover any separate Image2Pixel mobile apps, which are distributed under their own privacy policy.

1. Introduction

Image2Pixel ("we", "us", "the Service") provides free, browser-based image and pixel-art tools at image2pixel.com. We built most of these tools to run entirely on your device, so we simply don't see most of the images you work with. This policy explains exactly what we do collect, why, and how you can control it.

2. Images You Process

2.1 Tools that never leave your browser

The Pixel Art Maker, Spritesheet Generator, style filters, and similar tools decode, edit, and export your images entirely client-side using your browser's Canvas API. Your source images and exported files are never transmitted to our servers for these tools — the whole workflow happens on your own device.

2.2 Tools that require server-side processing

A small number of tools — for example, batch WebP ↔ PNG conversion — need server-side processing to work reliably across file types and batch sizes. For these tools only:

2.3 AI-assisted features

If we offer an AI-assisted feature (such as image upscaling), the specific image you submit for that feature may be sent to a trusted third-party processing provider solely to perform that operation, and is deleted from our temporary storage once processing completes. We require any such provider to process the image only as needed to deliver the feature.

In every case above, we do not sell your images, use them to train models, or share them with advertisers.

3. Other Information We Collect

3.1 Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — pages visited, approximate location by country/region, device and browser type, and referral source. This data is tied to a cookie identifier, not to your name or email, and we use it only to improve the site.

3.2 Cookies and Local Storage

Besides analytics cookies, we use your browser's local/session storage to remember your language preference and to hand off data between pages during a single visit (for example, passing an image from a converter page to the editor). This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

3.3 Information You Send Us Directly

If you email us or use the contact link, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your email address and message. We use it only to respond to you and do not add you to any mailing list without your consent.

4. How We Use Information

We do not use your data for advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

6. Data Retention

7. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. Your Choices

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — HTTPS encryption in transit, restricted server access, and automatic cleanup of temporary files — to protect any data that does pass through our servers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the website and its tools evolve. Changes take effect as soon as they're posted here, and the "Last Updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
