Welcome to PixelBead (“the App”), an iOS application that turns photos into fuse bead (Perler / Hama style) patterns. We respect your privacy and designed the App so your images stay on your device.
1. Information We Collect
PixelBead is an offline-first creative tool. We do not require an account and we do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number.
- Photos you choose: When you pick an image from your photo library, the App reads that image only to generate a bead pattern on your device.
- Project history: The App may save drafts, settings, and build progress locally so you can resume later. This data stays in the App’s private storage on your device.
- Sample images: Built-in sample photos ship with the App and are not uploaded anywhere.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- Location data
- Contacts or calendars
- Browsing or advertising identifiers
- Analytics tied to your identity
- Uploads of your photos to our servers
3. How We Use Information
Any photo or project data the App accesses is used solely to:
- Convert your image into a fuse bead grid pattern
- Match colors to Perler and Hama bead palettes for reference
- Generate materials lists, build-mode highlights, and export previews
- Store your in-progress projects on your device
All image processing runs locally on your iPhone or iPad. We do not operate backend servers that receive your photos.
4. Permissions
- Photo Library (Read): Lets you choose photos to convert into patterns.
- Photo Library (Add): Used only if you choose to save an exported pattern image to your library.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Sharing and Export
When you tap Share or Export, iOS presents the system share sheet. What you share (for example, a pattern preview image) is sent only to the destination you select. We do not receive a copy of shared content.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Local storage only.
Project history, thumbnails, and settings are stored on your device. The App keeps up to 50 recent projects and removes older entries automatically.
Uninstalling PixelBead permanently deletes locally stored projects and cannot be undone.
7. Third-Party Services
PixelBead does not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Perler and Hama are trademarks of their respective owners; the App is not affiliated with those brands. Sample photo attributions are shown in the App where applicable.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be published on this page.
